When Michael Civin first began his education, he did not anticipate that he would end up in the field of psychology. Michael Civin first attended Harvard College and graduated in 1968 with an A.B. degree, and he did this with cum laude honors. This season taught him how to study and the knowledge of how to do that would carry him through the next educational goals he set out for himself. He went on to attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 1968-1969 followed by The University of Oregon where he earned his Masters of Arts degree in 1970. It was at that point that he decided to go into the field of Psychology and he went on to earn his second Master’s in Clinical Psychology.
