As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Michael Civin has become an important fixture in the tight-knit psychological services community in New York City. He has been there for his entire career, which has by now stretched to more than a quarter century. He was a co-founder of Rose Hill Psychological Services in 2007, and he still serves there as a senior psychologist. Of course, before that, Michael Civin made sure he had plenty of education. He started with a degree from Harvard in 1968. He also attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine between 1968 and 1969 before earning his first Master of Arts degree in 1970 from the University of Oregon.
One of those was not enough, apparently, so he earned a second M.A., in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986. He earned his Ph.D. from Adelphi in 1988. Dr. Michael Civin, also has spent time as a professor, faculty member and an associate professor with several universities and other institutions of higher learning. His writing has been published in many journals and as many book chapters.
